I think it’s implied that not all industries are terrible just because there’s a whole city of people quite happy to live on mass-produced stuff and there isn’t actually a problem with that, the only problem areas are industries that act irresponsibly or take advantage by monopolising something essential
It’s just, like, I have seen some people doing reviews of the story as IT SAYS THAT CUTTING TREES DOWN IS EVIL WELL YOU KNOW WHEN SEUSS PUBLISHED THIS IT WAS PRINTED ON…. PAPER!!!! IT WOULDN’T EXIST WITHOUT TREES TAKE THAT ATHEISTS
